Stitch markers!
The last problem is already sparking controversy! What do you guys use as stitch markers?  I use safety pins!  Since most of my work in in a circle, I have safety pins everywhere.  In my wallet, on my jacket, on my desk, on my bulletin board…

Remember when I said I suck at posting while in...
I was right!  I apologize for the lack of posts.  If you are still waiting to see your submission, don’t worry, it will come eventually! In the mean time, Im sure you’ve seen these “What I really do” memes.  I’m a journalist, so the the journalism one is now my background.  Can someone come up with a crochet one?  I have no ideas for it, but Im sure you do!!

Question for the evening...
Since I’m currently quite drunk, Does anyone ever crochet while drunk?  What are your results?  And yes, I proofread this a zillion times before hitting the “post” button.  Happy drinking! Ohh….  Crocheting drinking games!  Go!

nolitevastare asked: Kool-aid dyeing is the best! I think I have some handspun kicking around somewhere that my friend and I did with pineapple kool-aid and red food dye. The only caveat, iirc, is that you have to use the stuff with no sugar. Anon is right--all you could ever possibly need to know is on Rav!

Anonymous asked: It should work fairly well, and I'm pretty sure that it's handwashable, just not light-safe. There's several groups on Ravelry dedicated to kool-aid dyeing if anyone wants to research farther.

A cry for submissions!
Hello again!!  There are now 262 of you lovely crocheters and knitters alike!  My inbox is sadly empty again!  There are half a dozen problems waiting to be posted, but that is it!  Until, that is, you send me more problems!!  Please also check out our good friends over at Knitting Problems!  The creator is very nice!  The knitters can be our friends!  Also, with the kool-aid yarn, I have no...

Anonymous asked: It got to 40°C (104°F) yesterday, all I want to do is crochet but it's just too warm to have yarn all over me. Do other people have that problem?

Sorry that I suck.
I’m sorry if I’m slow to get new posts up!  I just got back to school, so I’m now a full time student and a writer for the school newspaper.  These 2 things leave me no time for anything.  Literally.  I’m covering a show tonight.  9 pm on a Tuesday night.  Not even my evenings are free anymore.  There will still be posts, but they will not be as regular or often.

morethanair asked: I taught myself to crochet shortly before Christmas, and you have put up literally everything i have thought since then. Now I'm attempting to create my own zombie hat pattern and my yarn keeps splitting but I already have like, four different white/cream colors and it's probably that I'm just too impatient to get it done. Anyway, I am so glad I found you!

Hey Crochetallthethings!!
I know it’s not the same, but I think if you doubled it with another color, it could be super soft and not horrible.  “BERNAT GLOW IN THE DARK.    WWWWHHHHYYYYY” https://www.woolstock.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=56

lostorigins asked: Hello! I'm a huge fan of your blog as well as an avid knitter and crocheter. Do you know of any funny knitting blogs? :) Keep up the good work. This is amazing, haha. Also, the new theme is neat!

Welcome to the new blog!
Hello everyone!! Are you enjoying the new blog? Did you notice any difference?  You shouldn’t!  That’s the point!! I have changed the theme of our little blog home, still simple, but with a bit of spunk!  I would ask if you liked it, but in all honesty, I wouldn’t change it if you hated it.  I like it.  Also, please keep those submissions coming!!  The first post to this blog...
